Chicken vs Hotdog Overview
Chicken vs Hotdog is a super silly, screen-free challenge game with quick rounds and simple rules.
Pick a challenge card to reveal a flip challenge, place your bid, and try and pull it off. Nail it and you’re one step closer to sweet, sweet victory. Fail it, and the other team gets your point. Flip, stick, and thwack your Sling’Ems, pulling off insane challenges ’til someone’s declared the winner, winner, chicken dinner!
It takes just minutes to learn, but a lifetime to master. The more you play, the better you get, and the more impressive the flips become.
It might look ridiculous, but the best of the best combine the mad gameplay with just a little bit of strategy. So, it’s not simply flipping and landing your Sling’Ems, the bidding cards mean you have to think about your odds of pulling off the challenges. Win the bid, you must attempt the flip. But put down a low bid and lose, the other team must attempt it instead!
Whatever way you play, it’s always ridiculous, always funny, and moreish enough to get folk off their couches and having some flipping fun!

- Lay out your character cards (gray side up).

How to Play Chicken vs Hotdog
-
Reveal the challenge
Turn over a challenge card, and show it to all players. -
Place your bids
Each team secretly decides how likely they are to pull off the challenge on the card, and at the same time, places their bid on the table. The team that place the highest bid must now attempt the challenge!Top tip: use your bids carefully. If you bid high on something you don’t pull off, you’ve wasted it and potentially handed momentum to the other team! But bid low and you could miss an easy win.
-
It’s flipping time!
If they nail the flip, they can turn over their first character card. Fail it, the other team turns over one of theirs instead.Remember to place all used challenge cards to the bottom of the deck, and remove used bidding cards from the game entirely.
-
Reveal, bid, and flip to victory!
Keep revealing challenge cards, bidding, and flipping your Sling’Ems (ran out of bidding cards? Just deal four more to each team). The team to turn over all six character cards wins!
Flipperama!
If both teams bid the same amount, it’s Flipperama time! In a Flipperama, each team races to flip and stick their Sling’Em at the same time!
For two players
The first player to land two single flips wins.
For teams
Players flip their Sling’Em until they land a single flip, when they’ve completed their flip, they pass it to their teammate who must do the same. All players on the team must land a single flip to win!
Sling’Em Rules
- If your Sling’em lands upright, it counts.
- Falls off the table but stays upright? Still counts.
- Doesn’t stick but stays upright anyway? Also counts.
